It was after studying in Paris that the Japanese owner of the place wanted to refurbish this small 40 m² pied-à-terre, barely two decades later. He called on Studio Zerck to completely renovate this property located in Pantin and intended for rental. Welcome to this apartment where there is an air of wabi-sabi, a Japanese aesthetic conducive to relaxation.
After the departure of the previous tenant, the owner decided to take advantage of this vacancy to renovate this 40 m² and bring it up to standard. The Zerck studio had to do a lot of insulation work on the entire property so that it could be perfectly classified in terms of Energy Performance Diagnosis (EPD). The other essential point of this intervention concerned the optimization of space with the aim of considering shared accommodation. In fact, it was necessary to rethink the main room so that it was as functional as it was generous and became a common living space.
