Moreover, as he explained on France Inter on October 22, Eddy Mitchell has already planned everything for his funeral. As he confided to Léa Salamé, he reserved his vault in the marine cemetery of Saint-Tropez where he has owned a villa since the 1980s. A sumptuous residence where he now spends most of his time when he is not in his Parisian home.
A grave “facing the sea”not far from that of his former producer and friend Eddie Barclay, who died in 2005 and whose grave he had also carried alongside another of his great accomplices, Johnny Hallyday. “We can play cards like that”he quipped to the journalist. What his children categorically refused
And if the crooner – real name Claude Moine – would have preferred cremation, his three children, Eddy, Marilyne and Pamela, were opposed to it. “I would prefer to be burned, but my children want to pay their respects at a grave.
