18,000 boys and girls have been involved by the EOS Foundation in projects throughout Italy since the first three-year plan was launched in 2002.. There are over 6,500 people in the educational community, for over 4.6 million euros disbursed overall. In 2025 alone, 6,200 girls and boys involved in more than 30 projects throughout Italy, with direct funding of over 1.5 million euros. These are some of the data contained in Social balance sheet 2025, presented on 14 July, which details the projects carried out during the year by the EOS Foundation to contribute to the personal and collective growth of the adolescents and young people involved.
EOS Foundation – Edison Orizzonte Sociale Ets was born in 2021 from the desire of Edison Spa to contribute to generating social impact and innovation together with the communities and organizations with which it interacts, putting the new generations at the centre. The mission of the Foundation is to accompany adolescent boys and girls towards adulthood, giving them spaces for listening, action, expression and concrete opportunities for growth. EOS directs the resources made available by Edison to encourage the activities of third sector organisations, sports and cultural associations, institutions and the world of research. The people who work at Edison are actively involved in this commitment through volunteering initiatives and the sharing of strategic skills, in a logic of shared responsibility.

In 2025, the projects involved 9 Italian regions and more than 2,500 people from the educational community (family members, teachers, educators), consolidating and starting new collaborations with more than 80 entities. The total amount disbursed in 2025 exceeds 1.5 million euros, of which 288,000 euros are intended for the creation of Social Impact Energy Communities (CERs). Added to these are over 540,000 euros of co-financing from partners and other supporters which increase the impact capacity of the initiatives.
Among the numerous social initiatives supported during 2025, it stands out the collaboration with Domus de Luna, a Sardinian organization active for over twenty years in supporting children and adolescents in vulnerable situations. The EOS Foundation, together with other local entities, supports the Fattoria Quanto Sociale, a social agriculture project that has put unused land back into production and which welcomes the children of the Codice Segreto day center, offering them the opportunity to participate in various educational and relational activities, including pet therapy courses. Within the same context, people engaged in social reintegration processes are also involved, including ex-prisoners, with the aim of combating their marginalization and improving their psycho-physical well-being within a safe context, based on shared rules.
Since 2022, the Foundation has supported the Traiettorie Urbane project together with the social enterprise Con i Bambini. Developed in six neighborhoods of Palermo, the three-year project has developed an integrated and complementary educational offer to the national education system, in which the public space was experienced as a training ground for active citizenship by boys and girls, involving around 11,00 young people, 13 partners, 18 schools and creating or strengthening five community centres. In 2026, with the aim of giving continuity to what has already been done, the Urban Traiettorie Participation Foundation was born, which aims to establish and manage the Social Impact Energy Community (CERs) of the same name, made possible thanks to the resources and skills of Edison Energia. This network generates environmental, economic and above all social benefits: on the one hand it allows direct savings deriving from the reduction of the cost of energy, making new resources available to the entities involved for their social mission; on the other, it allocates the economic incentives generated to support the activities and meeting spaces created and strengthened thanks to the Urban Trajectories project.

Another example of social support and accompaniment in complex territorial contexts is the Criscito project, born in 2024, in the Borgo of Sant’Antonio Abate, the historic center of Naples, marked by strong educational poverty and early social exclusion. Created with the social enterprise Con i Bambini, the project supports various local realities, enhancing above all the daily work of educators committed, together with the new generations, to questioning the idea that their future is already written. At the center of this route is the Spazio Criscito, a meeting and proximity place which, in constant dialogue with the schools in the neighbourhood, has become a daily reference for children, teenagers and families.
The EOS Foundation has also long promoted sport as a context for growth and protection of rights, with the aim of transforming sporting communities into places of true integration and attention to people. The most recent example is Sport4Rights which was created with the aim of promoting a cultural transformation in sports organisations, making the protection of minors a guiding principle and not just a legal obligation. Through support courses aimed mainly at managers, coaches and companions, the project contributes to spreading a safer, more inclusive and aware model of sport.
And then the support for cinema, music, reading and performing arts, tools that allow young people to give voice to their ideas and emotions, making them discover that passions can often be transformed into concrete professional paths.
As for the corporate volunteering, the path was born in December 2022 and in 2025, thanks also to the activation of the company volunteering portal, more than 2,000 hours of volunteering were carried out on 14 active projects in 6 regions. Already in the first half of 2026, 3 additional projects were added, bringing the total to 17.
«The 2025 Social Report recounts a year of growth for the EOS Foundation, but above all it confirms a belief that, like Edison, has long accompanied our way of doing things: generating value means growing together with the territories and communities with which we work every day», says the president of the EOS Foundation Nicola Monti. «The Foundation represents the expression of this commitment, transforming listening to local needs into shared projects, capable of creating opportunities for new generations and strengthening the social fabric. It is a path fully consistent with Edison’s vision of sustainability, in which the social dimension is an integral part of the energy transition and development of the country.” For information you can visit the site
