But Daniel Guichard has always hated being far from home and his usual comfort. No more villas with swimming pools and overpriced hotel rooms, Daniel Guichard preferred to treat himself to a simpler life. And a few years ago, the singer-songwriter treated himself to a luxury camper van weighing more than five tons. “I’ve always hated going on trips. It’s just for convenience that I’ve been using a motorhome for ten years, like Gérard Lanvin”he explained in the columns of Parisian. Before continuing: “After thirty years of touring, I got tired of the shabby dressing rooms and hotel rooms. Above all, I got fed up with having to lug around my three guitars and my costumes”.
An atypical lifestyle choice that the 77-year-old artist claims loud and clear. “I go everywhere in France with it!”he informed the Motorhome world. Moreover, although the vehicle is quite impressive, it handles it perfectly: “Even in Paris, where I have my habits. In particular at the Bois de Boulogne campsite in the 16th arrondissement. So, I am a stone’s throw from the television and radio studios”.

Since this favorite purchase, Daniel Guichard and his wife, Christine, whom he married three times, have completely changed their lives. What made their children laugh: “My children didn’t care about me at first. But more and more young people are doing motorhomes”.
However, this father of seven children, born from three different unions, lives in luxury: “It is better made than my previous version. The subcontracting is of better quality. The connections are numerous and very easy to access. As for this magnificent white leather, it is super easy to clean… If you don’t have children with markers, of course!”.
And when they are not in their mobile home, Daniel and Christine Guichard enjoy their haven of peace, purchased in the 1980s, in Sauvian in Hérault. The perfect place to welcome Daniel Guichard’s seven children and seven grandchildren.
