Indeed, on the occasion of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Française des Jeux launched Gold Objective. A new ephemeral scratch ticket worth 5 euros, designed around athletes’ medals and events. To hope to win, you have to scratch the gold and silver medals and discover the symbols hidden there, or find the word “Champion”, or even obtain a higher score than that of your opponent. The opportunity to step into the shoes of an athlete. If we know that French athletes win 80,000 euros for each gold medal, how much money can we win by competing in Gold Objective ?
The winnings vary from 5 euros… to 500,000 euros! Half a million euros which can change a life in the case of Oobjective Or. If there is very little chance of winning the six-figure prize, the other amounts are more accessible. Indeed, the FDJ indicates that for 7,500,000 game units, there is a 1 in 2.79 chance of winning! A total of 1,520,000 winning tickets of 5 euros were printed, then 900,416 of 10 euros… The chances diminish considerably from 500 euros, with 267 winning tickets. For an additional zero, or 5000 euros, you will have to be one of the 4 lucky little ones!
But then for the jackpot, how many chances of winning it? There are only 2 tickets in all of France Gold Objective at 500,000 euros… Are these odds of winning worth the trip to the tobacco shop? It’s up to you to decide! The FDJ site, however, provides useful clarification for players who are ready to spend 5 euros on a scratch ticket: 70% of the stakes are redistributed to players.
