When the thermometer goes crazy in Paris, any opportunity is good to cool off. Until July 11, a famous fashion house invites passers-by to come and taste a free Italian ice cream in front of its new store.
Between episodes of extreme heat and the streets getting hot from late morning, finding a little coolness quickly becomes a priority in the capital. Some are looking for a park, others a terrace in the shade. And there are also those who come across a free ice cream distribution in the street. Since the end of June, a major Parisian ready-to-wear brand has set up a little gourmet corner in front of its new address, in the very center of Paris.
The operation runs until July 11 in the 1st arrondissement. The district never lacks traffic, between tourists, employees and shopping enthusiasts who circulate between Les Halles, the Palais-Royal and the numerous shops in the center of the capital. For the occasion, an ice cream cart was set up in front of the store. A few high tables and large umbrellas allow you to stop for a few minutes before setting off again. It is not a big event or a giant terrace, but rather a cool break offered to passers-by.
The brand organizing this operation is none other than Ami Paris. Its new store, located at 4, place des Victoires, welcomes this distribution in partnership with the Italian ice cream parlor Sammontana. Created in Empoli, Tuscany, in the late 1940s, this former family gelateria has become one of the great names in gelato in Italy. Its products are known for their generous and creamy texture. This partnership therefore makes it possible to offer a quality product, far from the hastily distributed ice cream that we sometimes find during promotional operations.
Note that, to benefit from it, you must accept a small formality. Impossible to collect your dessert directly from the counter. Visitors must scan a QR Code, enter their last name, first name and email address, then select the desired perfume. Once this little information has been recorded, the ice is finally put back on. Some people won’t see any harm in it. Others may prefer to avoid leaving their contact details for a simple treat.
