Prized for its anti-aging properties, collagen is probably the most popular beauty ally in recent months. And if more and more cafes are integrating it into their respective drinks, here is a recipe to make at home that will allow you to consume it every day.
Impossible to have escaped this beauty frenzy. Now considered a sort of miracle supplement to preserve the youthfulness of the epidermis, collagen is attracting more and more fans day after day. This protein, present naturally in our body, is responsible for the tone and elasticity of the skin and gradually decreases with age. Hence the interest in integrating it into our diet from the age of 25. On social networks and in particular on TikTok, users are doubling their ingenuity to offer recipes that stand out from the rest, allowing us to consume collagen daily.
Although it is a natural component of our epidermis, collagen reaches its peak at the age of 20, then gradually declines after the age of 30. The skin then begins to lose its firmness and plump appearance, easily becoming dull. To compensate for this effect, the easiest way is to regularly consume foods rich in collagen such as green tea, dried vegetables and red fruits such as blueberries or grapes. In a desire to combine beauty and pleasure, the influencer @inesodlp revealed, via a TikTok video, a fun and practical recipe, whose name is directly inspired by the sweets of our childhood.
Called “collagen jellies” or collagen candies in French, these little gelatinous squares seem to tick all the boxes. The influencer @inesodlp makes them from matcha powder, a powerful antioxidant that helps preserve the skin’s radiance, coconut milk, gelatin jelly (available on Amazon) and marine or vegan collagen powder. So, in a bowl, add 28 grams of gelatin in 100 milliliters of cold water, stir and let the preparation rest for at least five minutes. This will form a sort of paste. Then equip yourself with a saucepan in which you will put 250 milliliters of coconut milk, 250 milliliters of water. Mix everything together by gently heating it without bringing it to a boil. Once the mixture of water and coconut milk is hot, turn off the heat and resume your first preparation (cold water + gelatin) by mixing it with the water and coconut milk combination.
Stir long enough so that the gelatin is completely dissolved. You can then add your collagen (15 to 20 grams, the equivalent of one cup). All you have to do is finish with a little matcha (9 to 10 grams). Place everything in ice cube molds, then let sit overnight. You are now equipped with a good reserve of collagen jellies, to enjoy throughout the day for radiantly beautiful skin.
