The case of is one of those that shake a community, on Friday 26 July a triple murder occurred in an apartment in via Montiglio, in the Pineta Sacchetti area of Rome, where a father, mother and their 6-year-old daughter were found stabbed to death. The couple’s eldest son, who turned 20 a few days ago, was injured and his life is not in danger.
The victims are 39-year-old Kamal Uddin, his wife Hosnejahan Momotaj and their daughter Arowa, originally from Bangladesh and with no police record. The troubled residents of the neighborhood speak of them as: “A family of very good people.” The father, in particular, Kamal Uddin, was particularly well known by those who frequented the neighborhood supermarket, where he helped older people put products into bags and carry their shopping. “A tragedy,” commented another resident. «I often saw the mother with her little daughter, she went to school nearby. I’ve seen my brother fewer times, he works and doesn’t frequent the neighborhood much.” We delve into the acquaintances of the victims, friends, close relatives, and look for a family friend, a compatriot of the people killed.
The images of video surveillance cameras and cell phones of the victims are also being examined to reconstruct the last hours of their lives and to ascertain whether they had an appointment with anyone last night. In fact, it cannot be ruled out that they may have opened the door to the murderer of the apartment in which they lived and where the investigations are being carried out. A cleaver was seized from the apartment by the police and according to investigators it is the murder weapon.
