Ten years after the release of one of the albums that marked his career, Achille Lauro transform that title, Mother boys, in a concrete mission. It was presented in Milan, in the fascinating location of Brera Art Gallery, the Mother Foundationborn from the will of the singer-songwriter (Lauro De Marinis) and the co-founder Andrea Marchiori to concretely help young people in difficulty. The projects that act as a pillar for the Foundation are: Children’s Home Mother and Ali in the aisles.
The first is a residential structure that has around 25 beds, intended for young people up to 20 years of age in difficulty, due to addictions or behavioral disorders. The parallel between the name and themes of Lauro’s album and that of the House is interesting. If in the album from 10 years ago you could perceive the desire for revenge of a boy who grew up in a difficult situation and who told the road as he lived it, now Lauro chooses to transform the success achieved into an act of restitution, putting his experience at the service of those who today live those same dynamics of fragility. The place of treatment is located in Zagarolo, in the eastern province of the capital.
«It was an album that talked about those kids and today, ten years after the publication of that album, we find ourselves helping those kids (…) for me it’s a dream that truly comes to life», says Lauro.
Don Giovanni Carpentieri will provide precious helpwhich has been working for years to help children in difficulty. The innovation brought by the Foundation all comes from the idea that these young people can help themselves even before they themselves ask for support.
The Foundation’s second project aims to bring light to those experiencing serious health problems. Ali tra le lane wants to spread art, music and entertainment in pediatric hospitals and care facilities. Transforming hospitals from isolation bubbles to places where you can have creative experiences and provide relief, supporting young patients in their most difficult journey.
The Madre Foundation makes use of a technical-scientific committee high profile, with experts from the university world, such as Giuliana Baldassarre, and social like Arnoldo Mosca Mondadori and Clementina Montezemolo.
Pulling the strings of this “good machine” is the General Management entrusted to Lorella Marcantoni. With fifteen years of experience, his figure guarantees the managerial solidity necessary to transform the enthusiasm of the founding members into measurable results.

«Things never happen by chance», explained Andrea Marchiori, underlining how the meeting with Lauro allowed us to combine creative vision with management ability. The chosen logo, a butterfly, perfectly summarizes the spirit of the organization: the passage from the fragility of the caterpillar to the freedom of rebirth.
