First the pole position and then the Miami Grand Prix to the tune of Mameli’s anthem, with the dedication to his friend Alex Zanardi from the top step of the podium in Miami.
Kimi Antonelli never ceases to amaze, triumphing on the American circuit (third victory in a row) thanks to a perfect race, except for the usual slow start and a spot-on strategy with a very successful undercut. The Italian Mercedes driver made no mistakes, keeping Oscar Piastri’s McLaren second at the finish line for almost the entire race.

On the podium the other single-seater from Oscar Piastri’s Woking team took advantage of the final failures (with a spin) to Charles Leclerc’s Ferrari, third until the last lap and in the end sixth (then 8th due to the penalty after the checkered flag) despite the sensational start. At the foot of the podium was the other Mercedes of George Russell ahead of the Red Bull of Max Verstappen who made a good comeback after the start to forget. Lewis Hamilton’s other Red car finished seventh at the end of an anonymous race probably affected by damage to the car immediately after the green light came on.


Stars and Stripes Grand Prix brought forward by three hours for fear of lightning and rain which starts and ends with a dry track despite the adverse forecast. An exciting ride preceded with another tribute, after Saturday’s in the sprint, to Alex Zanardi, from Bologna like the current world championship leader, with the drivers lined up at the finish line, the minute’s silence, the name and image of the former Circus player on the scoreboard and everyone’s emotion including that of Lionel Messi who didn’t want to miss the Formula 1 show.
Antonelli who goes on to win, increasing his lead in the World Championship, reaching 100 points ahead of his teammate Russell (80) and Leclerc (63). On the podium the McLarens with Norris and Piastri: the Australian was third thanks to problems with the Monegasque’s Ferrari which spun on the last lap and finished sixth. «I dedicate my victory to Alex Zanardi – says Antonelli after the race – It’s only the beginning, the road is still long and the team has done an amazing job.
