THE Retirement savings plan (PER) of Fortuneo, celebrated its first candle and posted its first annual results. For the 2025 financial year, Horizon Management delivers 7.31% net for the dynamic profile 15-10 years, 7.29% for balanced And 4.02% for the cautious. The euro fund comes under 3.20% net — a notch above the market average for recent contracts. A trajectory hailed by 1.6 million active customers and a vehicle now accessible from 100 euros upon subscription.
For Grégory Guermonprez, director of Fortuneothese performances are based on a simple postulate: “The less you have coststhe more performance you have. » The contract stalled management fees on account units at 0.50% in free management – when certain traditional players display 1% to 1.30%. No entry, arbitrage or exit fees. On a retirement horizon, the gap weighs heavily: “If you have 0.50% more fees every year over 20 years, that weighs heavily on performance. »
A fee schedule that changes real profitability
Beyond 0.50% on freely managed account units (0.70% in Horizon Management, 0.70% on the fund in euros), the contract opens a wide architecture : 240 investment supports available for free management, several partner management companies, and the presence ofETFs have become essential for savers who want to diversify at very low cost with modest amounts.
The profile of subscribers confirms the expansion of the PER beyond just those in their fifties. At Fortuneo, almost 30% of subscribers are under 40 years oldthe average age is established at 47 years old and the “ Average down payment is around 4,000 euros » says Grégory Guermonprez. In line with the wave of post-Covid securities account openings, the figures suggest that awareness of the issues related to retirement is arriving earlier than before.
On the allocation side, 58% of clients opt for mandate management (dynamic, balanced, prudent), 42% for free management. Within the profiles, the balanced largely dominates with 58% of choicesahead of the dynamic (22%) and the cautious (20%). On the calendar side, more than half of subscriptions are concentrated in the fourth quarter — the effect of the end-of-year tax exemption window remains a strong marker of this product.
Advice from the director of Fortuneo to subscribe well
The first reflex to adopt according to Grégory Guermonprez, consists of check, on its tax returnits annual deduction ceiling before pouring. The deductibility of payments from taxable income constitutes the major advantage of the PER for highly taxed taxpayers — 10,000 euros paid in installments at 30% generate 3,000 euros in immediate tax savings. The classic trap is to exceed your ceiling and lose the deduction on the surplus.
The 2026 finance law brought the postponement of unused ceilings to five years (compared to three previously) — an asset to exploit in the event of fluctuating income. The second reflex is to only place what you don’t need before the cessation of activity. The PER blocks savings until retirement, except in the event of early release (purchase of the main residence, life accidents). To maintain available cash flow, life insurance remains the natural complement. Finally, the third reflex, the most strategic, is toanticipate. “The earlier you prepare for retirement, the better”insists Grégory Guermonprez. A modest monthly payment made at 30 years weighs more, in the long term, than a late and concentrated effort, thanks to the accumulation of returns.
