“Sam”, “Balthazar” and, more recently, “Apparences”, Hélène de Fougerolles is one of the French’s favorite fictional heroines. And when she is not on a film set, the 53-year-old actress lives isolated in her corner of paradise.

Paris is over for Hélène de Fougerolles. Having lived in the capital for a long time for the needs of her career, the actress finally moved to the provinces, to afford a house and space. And she wouldn’t trade her life for anything in the world!

Helene of Fougerolles “likes not seeing anyone” : where does she live?

The actress has offered herself an exceptional quality of life far from the tumult of Paris. And it is precisely in the Luberon (in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region) that Hélène de Fougerolles bought a house just after confinement, at the end of 2020. As she explained to TV Magazineshe found a true haven of peace there: “You know, before, I was very Parisian. I didn’t know how to drive, I went out a lot, I was afraid of lots of things… Today, I drive on the highway, I maintain my house alone and I like not seeing anyone.” A new life for the star of Satthe successful TF1 series.

Hélène de Fougerolles, who lives in this residence with her daughter Shana, has obviously changed her habits and her daily life but she adapts to it without problem. “My friends sometimes come down to see me, stay two or three days, but otherwise, I’m very good! I can garden in Crocs and wetsuits without being judged! I’m walking in the forest, no one cares! I loved this girl who matched her handbag with her shoes, but today I’m taking a step aside.” confided the actress, who has not yet given in to the lure of cosmetic surgery.

Helene of Fougerolles “lives (his) best life” : “It’s sometimes difficult to understand for this job”

The goal of this change of life? Offer a better living environment to Shana, the daughter she had with producer Éric Hubert, who has autism. “I’m currently living my best life! I put my daughter, my life, here above all else, it’s sometimes difficult to understand for this job”had even explained Hélène de Fougerolles to Gala, in April 2025.

“I have my private life which is as important as my life as an actress, especially with my daughter with whom I can spend wonderful times here in the South rather than in Paris because we have a real quality of life. And then, for me to be good on screen, I also have to be happy!”continued the one that we saw for a long time in Balthazar. Before concluding, not without malice: “I don’t think I have any more dresses from the Cannes Film Festival, it’s over! But what joy!”
