Milan is increasingly a mosaic of cultures and Thursday 14 May at 6.30 pm, the Ambrosianeum Foundation (via delle Ore, 3) shines a spotlight on the Filipino community. What does it mean to feel Filipino and Milanese at the same time? This is the question at the center of the meeting, within the cycle “The World in Milan”edited by Donatella Ferrario.

The exhibition offers a journey into the heart of this community, exploring how the new generations manage to create a winning mix between their Filipino roots and traditions handed down by their fathers and how they live their present in Italian society.
It will not just be a theoretical debate, the meeting will in fact see stories of social commitment alternating, giving voice to those who live and animate the community every day. Stories like those of association leaders Elienor Llanes-Castillo and Germelyn Rose Ignacioto moments of artistic expression. It will be a choral story thanks to the interventions by the painter Kathleen Magpantay and the baritone Joseleo Logdatto testify how rich and varied the contribution of this community to the life of our city is. An unmissable event for those who want to get to know their neighbors better.
