The curtain rises on Thursday 14 May Turin International Book Fair 2026a four-day event dedicated to books, culture and meetings. In this context the participation of the San Paolo Publishing Group which will take center stage thanks to valuable initiatives. They will be there to open the dance on the Group’s appointments Irene Mazza and Arianna Nicorawho has been entrusted with running the “One book leads to another” workshop, which will take place at 10.20 am at the Spazio Nati (Hall 4). Subsequently, at 11.30 they will hold the presentation of “The big book of jobs”.
One of the novelties this year is the participation of San Paolo Periodicals, the daily protagonists of the event “Newspapers&Coffee” which, like all the events at the stand, will be available in live streaming on the website Christian family: https://sl.famigliacristiana.it/salto26/diretta-streaming.
At 2pm appointment with the journalist from Christian Family, Chiara Pelizzoni who will comment on current affairs with the precious support of National President of the National Forum of Family Associations, Adriano Bordignon.
The parents will then take the stage Sammy Basso – Amerigo Basso and Laura Lucchin – who, tomorrow at 4.15 pm, will hold a copy signing for the book “Sammy. A life to embrace” at the San Paolo Stand. They will then move in Sala Granada (Pav. 1) where they will reach the author, journalist of Famiglia Cristiana, Chiara Pelizzoni, with whom they will present the book, also accompanied by Sammy’s physiotherapist, Doctor Mauro Grande.
The morning of Friday 15 May will open with the usual space of “Newspapers&Coffee”, (10.20 am at the San Paolo Stand), moment in which the journalist and editor-in-chief of Credere e Jesus, Giovanni Ferrò, will profile Pope Leo XIV.

Followed by an appointment at 10.30 in the Sala Granata (Hall 1) with the presentation of the professor’s new work Vittorino Andreoli “Two red armchairs”. During the meeting the psychiatrist will talk about what it meant to face himself for the first time and psychoanalyze himself in a dialogue with Roberta Russo.
Subsequently, at 11 am, it will be the turn of again Giovanni Ferròwho will moderate the presentation of the writing “Women against the mafia”with Maria Dell’Anno Sevicriminologist, writer and winner of the 2023 Nadia Toffa Literary Journalism Award.
Friday afternoon will be dotted with a series of presentations. At 1.45pm, in the Indaco Room (Pav. Oval) Nando dalla Chiesa will tell the long love story he lived with his wife Emiliawhich passed away in 2022, with the Italy of the 70s and 80s as the backdrop and contained in the new book “The girl from Vicolo Pandolfini”and at 4.00 pm, at the San Paolo stand, the writer Anna Purchasepacetogether with Elisa Pellawill present Nascere è un verb plural, a book dedicated to pregnancy. The event will also be an episode of his podcast “Womb. Stories from the belly”.
During the usual appointment with “Giornali&Caffè” on Saturday 16 May, the speaker will be the journalist of Famiglia Cristiana, Fulvia Degl’Innocenti who at 10.30 will delve deeper into the theme of this year’s edition “The world saved by kids” thanks to a series of testimonies from boys and girls taken live at the San Paolo stand.

Simultaneously Don Luca Peyron he will talk about his latest work “Boundless. New chronicles of clear skies”at the UELCI Media Cei stand.
The San Paolo stand will be the protagonist again in the afternoon, when, at 2.30 pm, the new one will be presented as a preview Enzo Bianchi Library: for the first time the San Paolo has collected the greatest works of the founder of the Community of Bose and of the Casa della Madia who will be present, in dialogue with the journalist and former director of Corriere della Sera Ferruccio De Bortoli. Closing the stand activities on Saturday will be the meeting with the writer Elisa Mazzoliwho will present her new volume for children “Telling matters”.
Sunday 17 May, Silvio Garattinidoctor and founder of the Mario Negri Institute, will launch his new series “a small health library” together with the researchers at 10.45 am Nicoletta Raschitelli and Rita Banzi. At 2pm the “Newspapers&Caffè” exhibition returns with Don Antonio Rizzolo, director of Maria con tewhich will address highly current issues, with particular attention to the use of religion in politics and society. At 3pm, instead, appointment with Don Simone Brunoeditorial director of San Paolo Edizioni – as well as psychologist and psychotherapist – who will present his new writing “Interpersonal Communication”in the company of the co-author Marcella Campi and of director of the weekly La Voce e Il Tempo, Alberto Riccadonna. The meeting was scheduled for Sunday as it is perfectly relevant to the themes of the Social Communications day. To close the Group’s weekend events there will be a presentation by Don Manuel Belli, theologian and parish priest of the Diocese of Bergamo, of the volume dedicated to the transformations of parish realities “The confessions of the ugly parish priest”.
Monday 18 May, Giulia Cerqueti, journalist for Famiglia Cristianawill be the protagonist, together with former editor-in-chief Alberto Chiaraof the appointment with “Giornali&Caffè”. The meeting at 10.30 “International balances and imbalances: the world at war” will focus on issues related to foreign policy. At the same time there will be the presentation of the book “In Lucia’s footsteps” by Salvatore Di Salvo and Alessandro Ricuperoat the Sicilian Region Stand (Pav. Oval).
Followed by two appointments at 11.30 am:
– the writer and teacher Luigi Ballerini will present his latest writing, “The (practical) manual you were looking for to choose what to do after high school”together with co-authors Marco Ferrari and Matteo Paoletti.
– Presentation of the new book by Don Marcello Cozzi, “Don’t interfere. The blood of priests on the altar of the mafia” in dialogue with Giulia Cerqueti.
